About the Guidebook
Cape Town is one of my favourite places in Africa and if there is a piece of advice I can give you after my last visit to the city is this: avoid going there in winter.
Main attractions such as Table Mountain and Robben Island are very weather dependent so, even if you book the visit in advance (which is highly recommended), the chances of you having to re-schedule it or even cancel it are high.
If it happens to you, don’t worry! There are plenty of other things to do in city that will make you love Cape Town as much as I did.
Local Knowledge & Cool Perks
I was lucky enough to explore Cape Town with a local I met on the plane. Because of the bad whether, Table Mountain and Robben Island were closed so I had no option but get myself busy with everything else.
It was July. Very cold, windy and it rained a lot. If it wasn't for my new local friend I don't think I would have found all these places I have listed on this guide by myself.
What to do when is pissing rain outside? Where is the best place to dance "raga"? Where to get local food? The best coffee in town? I can help you with that! There is so much to do in Cape Town that 3 days is actually not enough.
