THE BUDGET TRAVELLER - Seeing Seoul for Less
Jul 2, 2015
About the Guidebook
Seoul has so much to offer. The centre offers lots of encounters of past and present, the central districts show a hip and young scene full of shopping opportunities, foodie places and edgy hangout spots and for families, theme parks will provide big fun for big and small. However if you want to see Seoul from all angles and do so on a low budget, this guide is the one you were looking for.
Local Knowledge & Cool Perks
As a foodie, I advise you to try your way through both street food and markets for the best local experience. Restaurants tend to be relatively pricey, even though not as much as neighbour Japan. To get some free bites, head over to the big Lotte supermarket in Seoul Station, where you can try interesting yogurt flavours, pickled vegetables, dumplings, seafood and other things you might think twice about buying.
